Zoe's Birthday Party

Yesterday was the best day ever!
It was my best friend's birthday party, she turned 12.
When we all got there we all jumped into the pool and had a pool party. My favourite part was throwing water balloons at my best friends :)
Here are a few pics to show you what we did.

My Story Competition...

It was the summer of  1931 and the Raymond family, (a family with only 4 members…. Kelly - Mum, Justin - Dad, Skylar - 6 year old daughter and last but not least Ralph - The family dog,)  had just moved into their flash new 3 story home in Napier, they just settled down and just finished unpacking when the family decided to go for a walk with Ralph in the park.

The park was very still, Kelly set out the picnic blanket and Justin, Skylar and Ralph went to go play on the playground, after playing in the blazing sun they decided to come and have a drink.

As Justin was drinking he noticed that the sun was kind of hiding behind the clouds but took no notice to it, about an hour later it randomly started to rain and thunder and lightning appeared the Raymonds decided to pack up and go home.

Once they got home it was late, dark and very noisy, So Kelly and Justin put young Skylar in bed and did the same thing themselves.

By the time Kelly and Justin go to bed, it was exactly 12:47, and Kelly and Raymond woke up to the sound of their daughters voice saying “Mummy, Daddy, i’m scared, I don’t like the new house, it keeps shaking!?!?”

Kelly and Justin just looked at each other stunned and then took Skylar back to bed. The whole family was sound asleep for about two hours, then suddenly the whole family awoke, Ralph was running around like a chicken without a head and barking like crazy. Justin ran down the stairs and and tied Ralph to the bathroom door.

After a few hours of sleep Skylar woke up and decided to go for a little walk down the stairs. When she reached the bottom of the staircase and untied Ralph from the bathroom door, Ralph headed straight for the back door, he jumped up on the door, so Little Skylar opened the door (even though the weather was horrible) and Rapled took a leap outside and took off, Then suddenly a petrifying earthquake hit the city of Napier D:

The shaking woke Kelly woke, she hid under her $567 dresser, other than kelly, Justin just hid under the blankets(like thats going to help.) and completely forgot about their 6 year old daughter. Once This magnitude 7.8 earthquake was done destroying the city, Kelly and Justin just remembered about their daughter, they sprinted down staircase, by the time they got there it was too late, Skylar was trapped under the shower door, where she untied Ralph.

Skylar looked unconscious, Kelly dropped to the floor as there was another aftershock, after a few mins of shaking, the shower door had moved and Justin was able to pick up Skylar, the family raced to the car and drove to the hospital, it was almost im possible to get there, there were people lying on the sidewalk with terrified faces, everyones homes were in pieces, it looked like a broken heart.

Just before they reached the hospital they saw an old lady stuck under her falling roof of her house, Kelly quickly jumped out of the car and gave her a helping hand. She got free.

Still on the way to the hospital, Justin resized that if the whole city was broken then so would the hospital, she they changed direction and went “home.” They arrived home, they were just able to walk through the front door and see the remains of their house. With every earthquake you get after shocks, these aftershocks were petrifying, with every shock the city would sprint to under a table.

And this is how the city of Napier lived (in fear) for a few years until the after shocks were gone!

Pool party

A few weeks ago Tauranga Swimming club had a pool party, we had about 40,50 ish people there.
We had soooo much fun, there was a sausage sizzle, fizzy, chocolate and LOTS of lollies.
At the start we did some relays, then we got out the bombing platform and did some bombs off it! it was AWESOME. Here is a pic of a few of us on the bombing thingy :D

At Tga Swimming Club, all of us are like a Family, we have been since the moment we met!!!

Mrs Venter

This morning in class, we had Mrs Venter. We read and legend about the Taniwha, when we finished reading we had to draw a picture of a Tanewha.
Lets just say I definitely don't have a future as an artist.

Holiday recount.

In the first weekend of the holidays, my mum and I went to Auckland for the Olympic Hopefuls Water polo tournament.
We started off with our warm up, we each took turns choosing a stretch, after stretching we jumped in, we kinda did a mexican wave. When we hit the icy cold water we each grabbed a ball and took some shots at the goalie. Once we were all warmed up we went to our coach and gathered together for a team talk.
After the team talk we took our positions and waited for the whistle... as the whistle went we sprinted to the ball! we got it!Within the first 2minuets we scored 2 goals, after 10mins of playing it was time for half time, the score was 4-2.
YAY its game over, sadly we didn't win this final but we did come second with a score of 6-2.
Awesome we get to take home gold.  

HOMEWORK...... :D

This week for homeowork we have something very different to last week... Heres a link to show you. :) CLICK MMMEEEEI think it is important to increase you heart rate because if you are exercising and increase your heart rate I think that you are burning fat from the day and burning calories. therefore I think that it is important to increase you heart rate while exercising. Although you need to be careful that you don't push your self to hard because that can be dangerous for your heart.

I have achieved this challenge by doing my homework haha

Nana's B-day

It was recently My grandma's birthday, she lives in South Africa with most of my family so we couldn't exactly gave a party with her.
My uncle is a photographer and him and my auntie thought that it would be a good idea to give her a photo frame with 70 pictures of all her grandchildren (since she is turning 70)
So without me haha my cousins went on a photo shoot to get pictures taken and when they were done they photo shopped me into them to make it look as if i'm in the pics.

Our new HOMEWORK

Well yesturday Miss M email us a new doc..... and this doc had our new homework plan for term 3. Here is a link so you can see what ill be blogging about for the next few posts :)

1. Unloading the dishwasher

swimming comp

This weekend i have a huge swimming comp coming up. I am super super nervous, so I can trying to convince some of my mates to come watch(fingers crossed they come!!! haha) I am competing in 12 races.

At this meet they have finals. So if I make the finals for lets just say 5 races, it means that i have to 10 races :/
This meet goes on for 3 days, from Friday to Sunday. I'm not to sure if I like that the fact thats it goes on for 3 days.

My EPIC weekend

In the weekend, my friend Meila came to my house and stayed the night, we had sooo soooo soooo much fun. Our day started with the skills day with little kids which you can read more about that is a different post. When she came we went out to dinner to Lone Star, one of the waiters made us a challenge "if both of you eat 12 ribs each, I will give you free t-shirt.'' So Meila and I ate 12 ribs and boy was it !!!MESSY!!! When we were done we got the waiter and we got an applause from almost everyone in the restaurant. We felt SO proud LOL :D
We even got a free t-shirt.
After dinner we went to the playground and took some pics hehe and we even laid down on the railway train tracks  haha

Homework

On Saturday Meila and I went to the hockey turfs to help out with a skills day for little kids.
We had to run a activity that tested the kids dribbling skills. The day started at 8:30 and continued till 1:00pm. Meila and I took turns demonstrating what to do. Our day felt like forever but afterwards Meila came to my house for the night but you can read more about that in a different post. Here are some Pics to show you what we did.

TIS production

Yesterday was TIS production, it was sooo cool. I didn't think it would be as good as it was!. Our multi-materials teacher Miss Young and her young designers made all the outfits. My favourite part was seeing all my friends act and sing on stage, I even saw a different side of most of them :)
The production was basicly about two bands, Labryinth and One Diemension, who have a band battel but on the day of the battel Labryinths lead singer quits to audition for The Voice and so does their pianist. So Labryinth travels thorugh time to find a lead singer and a pianist in 24 hours. In the end it all works out but Labryinth wins.
I really really liked the production, and would definitely recomned this show.

Cross Country

Yesturday 24th of June was T.I.S cross country.
I was sooooo exited but nervous at the same time. I came 35, but was soooo tired when i finished.
My friends and I are just so relieved because cross country is over un-till next year!!! :D

Roto Vegas :D

YAY I am in Rotorua for my award I am getting for my swimming:)
Today my mum,dad,uncle and I went to the buried village and went for a walk to a BEAUTIFUL water fall! It was incredible! Although I pulled my Hamstring and it hurts really bad! ;(

On the 1st of May I was invited to a photo shoot because it was my b-day.

Homework "Design your own challenge''

For Rimu House homework I designed my own challenge, my challenge is To Help Younger Kids to Perform a Play.

My dad is doing this program with younger kids, he is doing a play with them so i decided to help him. I help them get their lines right and helped them add more expression!

Night at E.D

Last night when all of you were watching telly or playing on your iPods, I was in E.D until 12 at night! I was at E.D because I had a hockey game and we were playing OATS. half way through out game we had a penalty conner and one of the OATS player hit the ball straight into my hand followed but her fiber glass hockey stick! It hurt REAL bad!!! so after our game mum took me to E.D because I was crying hard out because of the pain, when we got to the hospital I got immediate attention. I got X-rays straight away and lucky they didn't show a broken bone!!! The nurse said that I got a bad sprain on tender mussel and that I can't do any sports for 1 week! :(

Hard tech

This week for tech I did hard materials. It was soooo fun! We made shields and key tags.
My shield doesn't have any thing fancy on it as Mr Arnold told us to kiss. (keep it simple stupid)

Physical out door stuff

Homework challenge:

P3. Explore the outdoors: With a family member or family friend

complete an 8 hour or overnight tramp.

My dad and I took some family on a tramp to show them the glow worms and stayed the night at  Mc-larren-falls. It was super fun. For the first time in my life I saw a shooting star in real life it was incredible but the glow worms were even more amazing because it looked like I was in the milky way. Next time i'm going to take extra blankets because it was FREEZING all night long, BUT you know wat the worst thing was, there was NO wifi. it was HORRIBLE!!!! ;(
